Caddis Pupa Fly Patterns … [Kvennan Camping – flyfishing Glomma River Norway]

This is the special edition of fly-fishing night time in the north. Hi, it’s Anni from Kajanaclub.com fly-fishing community. This video is about fly-fishing in the north when it’s a bit too hot. And a special tactic for these northern waters. And if you’re interested about fly-fishing make sure to watch until the end of the video I have a little free gift for you. But now let’s get fishing. Hej och hejpådej fra Norge. Okay, hej på dej might be Swedish but I think close enough. So few characteristics of this trip. This is supposed to be the dry fly trip of the year. Grayling. Lovely grayling River here but it’s super warm like it’s too hot during day it’s almost… it’s dead. There was really interesting place right there clear shallow water and you could see the grayling. Like 30 – 40 centimeter grayling. But they do not take any fly so I even tried to film with my underwater camera so let’s see if that clip worked out I’m eager to see what if there’s any fish on the clip. What am I saying? that’s clearly a fish. Okay, a super small one. But it’s pretty place. Now I’m thinking it’s time to go to the cottage and restore some energy and continue later tonight so the specialitet. it’s getting later we have eaten so we are ready to go fishing and the specialitet is… Green Caddis Pupa. And I have few different fly patterns that imitate this pupa fly. And now that the Sun is setting these little ones they swim really fast in the river so so how to fish these in these northern waters is just you pull the fly you make it move really fast that’s the theory at least so as the Sun is setting let’s see how how this theory will work the idea is to get the fly to swim really fast and Caddis Pupa has two really strong legs so it’s swimming fast and and then the grayling is supposed to catch it. Right now I think I will go and test it myself as well. the problem with this nighttime fishing is that I’m not a night person so I want to be sleeping when the fish are active we don’t have any agreement there but I’ll try Nice. So we can say… pretty good tactic Specialitet! Awesome. And now you get out there. I hope you liked this video. If you did please click the like button and share it with your fishing buddies and make sure to subscribe to my youtube channel And as promised as a free fly fishing Cheat Sheet for you you can get it from the download link, it’s somewhere below the video.
