Anglers Prepare For College Bassmaster Championships On Lake Bemidji


8-1. STILL CONGRATULATIONS ON THE GREAT, GREAT RUN FOR THEM.>>>WELL, WHO’S READY FOR A FUN WEEK OF FISHING CAUSE THE 2017 BASS MASTER COLLEGE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP IS READY TO TAKE OVER LAKE BEMIDJI. FOR THE NEXT FIVE DAYS, 90 TEAMS OF ANGLERS FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY WILL TRY TO NET THE HEAVIEST WEIGHT IN THEIR FIVE COMBINED BASS CAUGHT DAILY OF AT LEAST 12 INCHES. THAT INCLUDES A PAIR OF TEAMS REPRESENTING BSU. FIRST WITH JUNIORS, LUKE GILLUND AND ROBBY TROJEE, THEY’LL TEAM UP THIS WEEK AFTER QUALIFYING IN THE WILDCARD TOURNAMENT IN ALABAMA EARLY JUNE. EVEN THOUGH THE CHAMPIONSHIP IS ON THEIR HOME LAKE, GILLUND AND TROJEE EXPECT NOTHING BUT A CHALLENGE FROM THIS GREAT FIELD OF ANGLERS.>>DEFINITELY HAS A LITTLE HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE. AT THE SAME TIME, THERE ARE SO MANY GOOD ANGLERS HERE THAT THEY’LL FIND THE FISH, TOO.
